The Controller Area Network (CAN), a serial communication protocol, is suitable for in-vehicle communication networks that requires a high reliability. The CAN bus system is managed by Sense Multiple Access/Collision Resolution (CSMA/CR) and arbitration policy. In this paper, we propose a CAN controller for a band-type wearable devices in automobile. Experimental results demonstrates the feasibility of our proposal for in-vehicle communication network. We fabricate using Magnachip/Hynix 0.18 um CMOS technology. The CAN controller is operated in 3V, 500MHz frequency and circuit type is Digital. |
