We propose a dual chip-based implantable distributed neural interface device mounted on the mother chip. The dual chips consist of a mother chip and the main function chip, where the mother chip performs communication with an external communication station. In contrast, the main chip concentrates on recording neural signals and stimulating neural networks. Compared to previous designs, the dual-chip architecture is expected to offer a highly scalable, robust, and efficient architecture for neural interface systems. |
