IP개요 | The multiple output hybrid power converter for the quick battery charger applications is described. The conventional architecture requires multiple DC-DC converters to provide the charging current to the battery and also to provides the system voltage to the circuits. This architecture shows lower efficiency as well as occupies a large area. In addition, the heat emission by the power loss leads to degrade the battery life-time. In this article, a multiple output hybrid power converter is proposed that can charge the battery as well as provide the system power to the load circuits. The proposed hybrid converter will be implemented in 180nm BCDMOS process, and targeting the output power up to 30 W. The proposed hybrid converter can achieve high efficiency comparable to the switched-capacitor converter but also can regulate the output voltage for the system requirements. |
