This paper proposes an area-efficient low voltage DAC circuit based on a switched capacitor amplifier for an AMOLED column driving circuit. Most of the area of the column driving circuit is composed of channel circuits, and the area of the DAC circuit is also predominant in each channel circuit. The DAC circuit used in the existing column driver consists of High Voltage Transistor and medium Voltage Transistor. The proposed DAC circuit has the effect of reducing the area of the column driving circuit by reducing the area of the transistor as well as reducing the area of the wiring connected from the R-string circuit by using the Low Voltage Transistor. In the proposed Switched Capacitor Amplifier circuit, each channel has five capacitors, and four of them are used to apply the interpolating technique at the input stage. And, the other capacitor is applied to transfer the charge from the input terminal to the output terminal. An additional 2-bit resolution can be obtained through the interpolating technique at the input stage. For this reason, additional area reduction is applied to the DAC circuit by 50% compared to the DAC circuit area of the existing resolution. |
