The interest in autonomous robots is growing due to diverse usability. Autonomous robots are equipped with various sensors for stable operation. As the sensor data increases, the system for sensor signal processing and actuators controlling is compli-cated. In this paper, we propose a robot-specific processor for autonomous driving. The proposed processor consists of a Cortex-M0 core and a pathfinding accelerator. We designed the processor with Verilog HDL and verified the feasibility by simulation and implementing the design on field programmable gate array (FPGA). We will fabricate the robot-specific processor with Samsung 28nm RFCMOS 1-poly 8-metal technology. The robot-specific processor operates in 1.2V, 50MHZ frequency and the circuit is digital type. |
